Ear Training Masterclass on 1/9/2025
This masterclass will focus on—you guessed it—Ear Training! We’ll discuss ways to sharpen your ears so that you can better hear bass parts on records, listen for chord changes, and decipher rhythms.
It’ll help you learn songs faster, transcribe parts, and recognize musical concepts such as scales, triads, and intervals within the music you’re working on. In other words, it will jump start your song learning and improvising skills.
Finally, it’s one of the most important skills for all musicians and will greatly impact your ability to jam, create parts, and assess if what you’re playing is actually working with the music.
You’ll receive a PDF at class time that will outline the discussion and contain a variety of exercises and examples of how to practice the concepts.
The class will take place via Zoom and will run approximately 90 minutes. When you purchase this ticket, you’ll receive an downloadable invite with the zoom link, plus a reminder email the week of.
Once the live class has concluded, all ticket purchasers will receive a link to the zoom recording to re-watch the class or view it at your leisure.
