Fretboard Shifting and Connecting The Dots on 2/12/26

$45.00

This class will feature tips and tricks for moving about the fretboard and gaining confidence in all registers of the instrument.

We’ll discuss how to use different scale shapes to move from the “cash register” of the bass to the 12th fret and beyond so that you can build awareness across the instrument.

My hope is that you leave the class with a greater understanding of how notes connect and methods for practicing smooth movement up and down the fretboard.

The class will feature:

  • Major and minor scale shapes across multiple octaves

  • Tips for finding notes and intervals anywhere on the fretboard

  • Ways to manage “big jumps”

  • Methods for connecting shapes including triads, pentatonics, and roots of chord progressions

  • Exercises and practice strategies

You’ll receive a PDF at class time that will outline the discussion and contain TAB/Notation for practicing later.

The class will take place via Zoom and will run approximately 90 minutes. When you purchase this ticket, you’ll receive a downloadable invite with the zoom link, plus a reminder email the week of.

Once the live class has concluded, all ticket purchasers will receive a link to the zoom recording to re-watch the class or view it at your leisure.

If you can’t show up in real time, don’t fret! A ticket will gain you access to the recording and all materials.

Q&A will take place during the class but don’t worry, you won’t be put on the spot to play anything.

See you on Thursday, February 12th at 8pmE/7pmC.
